- Lindeville Elementary School in Hot Water After Teacher Caught Reading Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein to Appropriately Aged Children
Opponents of the two authors fear this will cause children to think on their own.
Trisha Thomas, one of the few tenured teachers in Lindeville Elementary, has been causing a commotion in the small halls of the institution. Though she was the one reading to the kids, Lindeville Elementary is catching most of the fire.
After catching wind that Ms. Thomas was reading a variety of Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein titles to children, some Lindeville parents bucked at this as they now find these books somehow offensive in the current climate. Ms. Thomas took the liberty of reaching out to us in light of everything going on: “If you think one fish, two fish, red fish or blue fish are an attack on your child’s mental state, just wait until they have access to TikTok.”
Parents of the school are taking this issue up with the head of the PTA to try to get Ms. Thomas’ tenured revoked, claiming that their kids are being brainwashed and indoctrinated.

Attention will now focus on the upcoming school board elections, with this incident the backdrop of what should be some hotly contested races.
